Here’s some links and information from my attempt at identifying a font.

I’ve found that some of the online applications; from the question and answer service at identifont.com to the image upload service at whatthefont.com are pretty neat, but they didn’t help matching the font I needed matched.

I did however put a post through on the What the Font Forum and got a reply back immediately. The forum requires registration, but if you really need that font identified, than it’s well worth the time.

If anyone was interested in the problem, I was trying to match the font on the attorney’s menu of the left hand column of a new client of mine:

The font face was Futura SB-Medium Con.
